Key Benefits At A Glance:

  • Reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease
  • Boost energy levels
  • Provide antioxidant protection
  • Normally, the conversion process from CoQ10 to Ubiquinol occurs naturally in the body. But the 40+ population and those suffering from oxidative stress have difficulty converting it; Inno-Q-Nol provides the “pre-converted” form of CoQ
  • Those who supplement with stabilized ubiquinol show marked improvement in both physical appearance and activity into old age.

Product Description:

While every cell in the body requires Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) to produce energy, the cells in the heart require some of the most significant amounts.  Clinical studies have shown that CoQ10 can reduce the risk for cardiovascular problems (1). INNO-Q-NOL woith clinically proven Kaneka QH® Ubiquinol CoQ10 restores these antioxicant levels to support cardiovascular health (4).

The next generation of CoQ10, Ubiquinol is the strongest lipid soluble antioxidant available.

  • Ubiquinol is the active, antioxidant form of CoQ10
  • Most circulating CoQ10 (95%) in the blood is in this activated form
  • Both Ubiquinol and Ubiquinone are forms of CoQ10 that are necessary for the production of cellular energy and life sustaining qualities.
  • Until now, most supplements available on the market contained the ubiquinone form of CoQ10.
  • Biochemically, ubiquinone must be converted by the body to the active ubiquinol form in order to start working effectively as a potent antioxidant and cellular nutrient
  • Ubiquinol is the active antioxidant form of CoQ10 and body ready for cellular energy production – no need for conversion in the body.
  • The conversion into the active antioxidant ubiquinol form is not optimal in all individuals especially those who are older (over 40 years of age), have age-related diseases (heart disease, diabetes, neurodegenerative disease) or are in highly oxidative states (athletes)
  • Those in the categories mentioned above have lower ubiquinol levels and can benefit dramatically with ubiquinol supplementation
  • It is highly stabilized through a patented process from Kaneka Corporation, Japan – the world's largest CoQ10 producer and the makers of the only yeast fermented CoQ10.
  • It requires very high doses of conventional CoQ10 to achieve the same levels attainable with lower amounts of ubiquinol CoQ10.

Due to CoQ10's established role in the body's energy production process, ubiquinol should increase energy, stamina and general wellness in most people, especially in those who cannot efficiently convert CoQ10 into ubiquinol. It is believed that those who are 40 and older or are affected by age-related health conditions may benefit from this pre-converted form of CoQ10 more than those who are younger.

CoQ10 for Heart Failure -

People with heart failure have been found to have lower levels of CoQ10 in their heart muscle cells. Moreover CoQ10 may reduce symptoms related to heart failure, such as shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, and swelling. CoQ10 is thought to increase energy production in the heart muscle, increasing the strength of the pumping action.

CoQ10 And Heart Surgery -

Clinical research indicates that introducing CoQ10 prior to heart surgery, including bypass surgery and heart transplantation, can reduce damage caused by free radicals, strengthen heart function, and lower the incidence of irregular heart beat (arrhythmias) during the recovery phase (4).

CoQ10 For High Blood Pressure -

CoQ10 may lower blood pressure, in particular systolic blood pressure, however, it may take 4 - 12 weeks before you will see any beneficial effects.

CoQ10 Benefits For High Cholesterol -

Levels of CoQ10 tend to be lower in people with high cholesterol compared to healthy individuals of the same age. In addition, certain cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins (such as atorvastatin, cerivastatin, lovastatin, pravastatin, simvastatin) appear to deplete natural levels of CoQ10 in the body. Taking CoQ10 supplements can correct the deficiency caused by statin medications without affecting the medication's positive effects on cholesterol levels. Plus,  CoQ10 supplementation may decrease the muscle pain associated with statin medication.

CoQ10 For Diabetes -

CoQ10 supplements may improve heart health and blood sugar and help manage high cholesterol and high blood pressure in individuals with diabetes. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease are all common problems associated with diabetes. However, if you have diabetes, it's wise to talk to your doctor or registered dietitian before using CoQ10 in order to avoid any contraindications with diabetes medication.

CoQ10 Benefits Heart Damage Caused By Chemotherapy -

CoQ10 may help prevent heart damage caused by certain chemotherapy drugs (namely adriamycin or other athracycline medications). More studies are needed to evaluate the effectiveness of CoQ10 in preventing heart damage in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Talk to your doctor before adding any supplements to your regimen if you are undergoing chemotherapy.

CoQ10 For Breast Cancer -

CoQ10 supplements (in addition to conventional treatment and a nutritional regimen) may shrink tumors and reduce pain associated with the condition. However, the beneficial effects these women experienced cannot be attributed to CoQ10 alone. Additional antioxidants used include vitamins C, E, and selenium.

CoQ10 For Parkinson's Disease -

Lower levels of CoQ10 have also been observed in people with Parkinson's disease. Increasing CoQ10 may increase levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine, which is thought to be lowered in people with Parkinson's disease. It has also been suggested that CoQ10 might protect brain cells from damage by free radicals.

A small, randomized controlled trial examined the use of 360 mg CoQ10 or a placebo in 28 treated and stable Parkinson's disease patients. After 4 weeks, CoQ10 provided a mild but significant improvement in early Parkinson's symptoms and significantly improved performance in visual function. A larger 16 month trial funded by the National Institutes of Health explored the use of CoQ10 (300, 600 or 1200 mg/day) or a placebo in 80 patients with early stage Parkinson's disease. The results suggested that CoQ10, especially at the 1200 mg per day dose, had a significant reduction in disability compared to those who took a placebo.

CoQ10 And Statin Drugs -

Statin drugs, or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, are a class of drugs used to lower cholesterol which may interfere with the body's production of CoQ10.

If statin drugs strip your body of CoQ10, you can imagine what is happening to your heart. Some health professionals are blaming statin drugs for accelerating heart failure in patients with congenital heart disease. Talk to your doctor about CoQ10 supplementation if you are taking statins.

Ubiquinone vs. Ubiquinol

Ubiquinone is the standard form of COQ10. In order to generate cellular energy your body must convert ubiquinone to ubiquinol. As we age, our ability to convert CoQ10 becomes very poor; hence the best way to achieve optimal benefits of CoQ10 is the ready-to-use activated form – Ubiquinol, the biologically superior form of CoQ10.

UbiquinolVsUbiquinone ChartCompared to standard CoQ10 supplements, ubiquinol is absorbed in the bloodstream up to 8 times better; it reduces exercise-induced fatigue by 90% more and slows aging 40% better.

Figure 1 shows how little ubiquinol is needed to provide the same blood plasma levels of CoQ10 that are achieved in response to far greater amounts of ubiquinone.
Who should consider taking Ubiquinol?

Supplementing with ubiquinol rather than standard CoQ10 (ubiquinone) is especially important for individials who may have difficulty with the natural conversion of CoQ10 to ubiquinol such as:
- The late middle-aged to elderly
- Individuals suffering from specific conditions especially related to oxidative stress including diabetics, those with liver disease and with heart disease.

Healthy Tidbits

In this century, the world will have more people living into their 80s and 90s than ever before, with the number of people 80+ set to quadruple between 2000 and 2050.

Increased life expectancy is largely due to improvements in public health, and healthy ageing is linked directly to health in earlier stages of life.

Although it is natural for biological processes to decline with age, the rate at which our body’s decline is impacted by many controllable lifestyle factors such as how we eat, how we move, and how many toxic substances we are exposed to.
